Alcor Exchange is an absolute beast in the world of decentralized finance. Founded in 2020, it is EOSβ first self-listing and fully on-chain, DEX. It grants users access to an extensive selection of pairings on WAX, EOS, Proton, Telos and BOS. In this Alcor Exchange Quick Start Guide, we help you to get started on Alcor Exchange and even show you how you can start earning cryptocurrency with it!
Because it has so much flexibility, Alcor Exchange is definitely worth getting set up. Especially if youβre deep in the cryptocurrency and NFT rabbit hole! So letβs get started!
To be able to use Alcor you must first have a wallet for the mainnet you wish to use. If you donβt have one already for the mainnet you want to use, donβt worry! You can get them for free, quickly and easily. Here are the different wallets you can use and how to get them:
WAX Wallet: You can get a free account on WAX Cloud Wallet if you havenβt got one already. You can sign up using many popular services for quick login speeds.
For this next step, we need to head on over to Alcor Exchange. In the top-right corner of the website, you can find a drop-down menu to select which mainnet you wish to use. Once selected. Select Connect Wallet. The process of connecting is simple but there is some variation between each service.
WAX Wallet: If using WAX Cloud Wallet, a pop-up box will appear asking you to sign in and confirm you wish to connect.
Great job! Once you are connected, all of the services in Alcor Exchange are available to you. All of these are accessible in the menu in the top left of the screen.
Instantly trade assets at a fair value in SWAP. It is also where you can earn crypto by adding liquidity to the pool.
In the MARKET tab, you can see a list of all of the trading pairs on Alcor Exchange. You can see at a glance how the assets are performing and click on any of the pairs to begin trading.
You can select WALLET to see all of the cryptocurrency you have in your wallet and transfer funds to different accounts. You can also select βtradeβ directly in this menu to take you to the most commonly used trading pair for that asset.
The final part of the Menu bar βDOCSβ takes us to the documentation section. This provides a lot of great content to get an in-depth understanding of Alcor Exchange. Sections include Market Creation, developer API and Liquidity Pools.
